Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coder Complex - Inpatient to provide
coding and abstracting for acute care services.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and
procedural information
Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring
complete records
Provide coding quality assurance and ensure compliance with coding
regulations
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED or equivalent training in medical record
keeping principles
Active certification as CCS, COC, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent
coding certification
Three or more years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care
facility
Knowledge of ICD CM and PCS coding principles as per AHIMA
standards
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using coding
software and abstracting systems
